Overnight Oats are a great source of soluble fibre, which helps to regulate digestion and keep you feeling full. They are a great way to start your day with whole grains and nutrient-rich ingredients like chia seeds and fresh berries. Preparing overnight oats the night before saves you time in the morning, making it a great option for busy mornings. You can also customise your overnight oats with a variety of toppings, such as nuts, seeds, dried fruit, or nut butter, to suit your taste preferences.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup rolled oats (gluten-free if required)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or other nut milk)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, etc.)

METHOD In a medium bowl, combine the oats, almond milk, chia seeds, maple syrup and cinnamon. Stir well to combine. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and place in the refrigerator overnight (or at least 4 hours) to allow the oats to absorb the liquid and become soft. In the morning, remove the bowl from the refrigerator and stir the mixture well. Top with fresh berries and serve cold.
