This Greens Juice is packed with a variety of nutrients, including vitamins A, C, K, and folate, as well as potassium, fiber, and antioxidants. Dark leafy greens are especially rich in vitamins and minerals, and have been linked to a lower risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer. Cucumber, celery, and fennel are all hydrating and contain fibre, while apple adds natural sweetness and vitamin C. The lemon juice not only adds a refreshing tartness, but also helps to enhance the absorption of nutrients. Drinking a Greens Juice like this one is a great way to boost your intake of vegetables and fruits, and to support overall health and wellness.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups dark leafy greens (such as kale or spinach)
  • 1 small cucumber
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1/2 small fennel bulb
  • 1 green apple
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 cup water

METHOD

Wash and chop all of the ingredients.

In a blender or juicer, combine the dark leafy greens, cucumber, celery, fennel, and apple.

Add the lemon juice and water to the blender/juicer.

Blend or juice until the mixture is smooth and consistent.

If using a blender, strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp or fibrous pieces.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
