German Chamomile (Matricaria Recutita) is probably one of the most widely used relaxing medicinal plants in the the western world and one of my all time faves.

Chamomile’s list of uses is a longer than my arm, but in clinic I find it incredibly supportive in cases of insomnia, anxiety, restlessness and gastric distress due to its soothing anti-inflammatory properties. A cup of hot chamomile infusion is the simplest and easiest preparation
Prep time: 1 mins
Steeping time: 15 – 20 mins
Serves 1
METHOD

Place 1 tbsp of the loose tea/flowers in a tea pot

Add 400ml of boiling water

Allow to steep for 15 – 20 mins with the tea pot lid firmly in place

Serve as needed
