These Homemade Seeded Thins are a healthy and delicious snack that’s rich in fibre, healthy fats, and protein. Almond flour and seeds are nutrient-dense ingredients that provide essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and may help to reduce inflammation. Ground flaxseed is also an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and supports improvements to cholesterol levels. This snack is also low in carbohydrates and sugar.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup water
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 175°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, ground flaxseed, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sea salt. Mix well.
Add the olive oil and water to the bowl, and stir until everything is well combined and a dough forms.
Place the dough onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and use a rolling pin to flatten it into a thin, even layer.
Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut the dough into small squares or rectangles.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the thins are golden brown and crispy.
Allow the thins to cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes before serving. Store in an airtight container.
